Miyazaki san is one of the world's most talented anime directors. His films range from innocent and somewhat childish, to serious and somewhat violent, but they're all great. Over the past few years, I've been trying to collect as many of his movies as I can find, but many are difficult to find in any American stores. At the moment, I own three of his movies on dvd (in english), but he has so many more that just appear to be ilusive.
The following is a list of his movies I've seen, and a description of each.
Spirited Away (like a japanese Alice in Wonderland) Princess Mononoke (more mature of a tone) My Neighbour Totoro (childish, but very enjoyable) Castle in the Sky (nice story, frustrating ending)

I like Princess Mononoke the best of his movies. It's a really good story.

spirited away was one of the greatest animes I've seen. I don't know why but it was interesting in an errie way that wouldn't let me leave. it was like I was so interested to find out how the world she was in worked and I wanted to see it all.

That's a good description of how I think it just pulls you in with a firm grasp. As you watch the movie, you begin to feel more and more like you're a part of the experience.
